This article presents statistical evidence concerning astronomical seeing from the KUSZA Observatory (BCK) and the Langkawi National Observatory (LNO) in Malaysia. Astronomical seeing measurements were performed using a low-cost Differential Image Motion Monitor (DIMM) consisting of an 8-inch Celestron Nexstar and a STV (SBIG) with a CCD camera. A total of four nights of observations were carried out in 2023, namely, 2 nights for each observatory. The median for zenith seeing for the entire observation period at KUSZA observatory was f 2.25" and 2.0" (arcseconds). The results were compared to those obtained previously in February at the LNO. Preliminary results of these measurements indicate that the seeing value in KUSZA Observatory is greater than 2 arcseconds and in Langkawi National Observatory it is about 1 arcsecond. The comparison shows very small differences in the median values between the two measurement sets. The best seeing was observed in BCK on August 26 (median value of 2.0”), while the best seeing observed in LNO was on February 28 (median value 1.3”).
