Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) has made tremendous progress in the application to healthcare, including gynecological diagnosis, because AI has the ability to analyze complex data and assist in making, prognosis and diagnosis more accurately. This  paper discusses the main AI techniques that have been employed to this determine, namely expert systems, semantics networks, genetic algorithms, machine learning, deep learning and transformers. It offers an in-depth analysis of the problems and the limitations of each approach, concerns about data quality, bias, and the Lack of transparency of each one.  The objective of this study is to provide researchers with a broad knowledge map about the current technologies, to point out the issues that have not been hitherto studied, and to propose the future direction, such as improving data quality, adapting models to the gynecological context, combining text analysis with medical images, and considering privacy need.
